Visual Tour of Newport, VT

With Summer just ahead, this is a great time to think about vacation plans in the Northeast Kingdom. The Newport area has some great events, places to see and visit and restaurants to indulge in. Let’s not forget that two of the best places to stay in the Newport area are the Newport City Inn & Suites and the Derby Four Seasons Inn & Suites.

Lake Memphremagog is an international lake that stretches across the Canadian border into Magog, Quebec. Inn addition to scenic vistas, you’ll enjoy swimming fishing, boating and possibly a bit of cliff diving.

Fishing is a popular activity in the Newport area and you’ll find numerous lakes, ponds and streams for your angling adventures.

Also, in downtown Newport, you’ll find the areas most popular creemee stand at the Pick & Shovel. The store itself is well worth a visit, just to see the many different things inside.

No worries about traffic jams or getting lost. It’s a really easy place to drive around with bike paths along Lake Memphremagog for those who want to get a bit of exercise and fresh air.

The Newport Country Club is one of the best area choices for golf enthusiasts with breathtaking scenic views of mountains and lakes in just about every direction.
